THE CIRCULATORY SYSTEM

Now take the circulatory system work!

His heart, blood vessels and blood are part of the circulatory system.

They work together to every cell of your body with oxygen and nourishment.

How does the cycle?

Large veins carry oxygen-rich blood to the heart.

The heart pumps oxygen-rich blood through the body provides all the cells with oxygen and nourishment.

Blood vessels are tubes of blood to every cell in your body.

Once the blood has done its job went back to the heart through a different set of pipes.

Your heart is the central pump.

The blood now contains large amounts of carbon dioxide. It is a waste product and must be eliminated ....

Top Electronic Gadgets For Incoming University Students

As an incoming freshman college student at a university in California, I had to prepare my clothes, basic necessities, and other things that I needed for college life because I would be staying at a residence hall near the campus, and this is the first time I would be away from our home for such a long time. Part of the preparations I made are buying and bringing some electronic gadgets that I believe is essential for a university student like me. A few days after I graduated from secondary school, I read several a magazine article and some online articles in the Internet about the electronic gadgets that university and college students should bring along especially for incoming freshman students.

So based on my own personal experience and on the articles that I read, I am sharing the information on the top electronic gadgets that today's  university and college students should possess:

· Laptop computer – In today's electronic and online world, a laptop computer has become necessary for many students because of the many benefits it would provide. A laptop is better compared to bringing a bulky desktop computer to your residence hall room, or waiting for the desktop computers at the computer laboratory room or at the university library to become available. A laptop is portable so that you could do your assignments, projects and other academic tasks wherever you are comfortable. Moreover, wireless Internet connection would enable you to get information and other online materials that you need.

· Mobile phone – The cellular phone has become essential for everybody including college students like me. A cellphone enables me to talk to my family and friends or send them text messages whenever and wherever I am. I could keep in touch my friends at the university especially about important school-related tasks.

· Scientific calculator – This type of calculator is very useful especially if you are taking up courses that require many calculations such as algebra, chemistry, physics, and other science courses. Although you can't bring the calculator in the lecture hall, it still useful especially when doing assignment and projects that need calculations.

Exciting Technological Advances in Robotics

Robotics refers to the branch of technology dealing with the design, construction, operation, structural disposition, manufacture and application of robots. The subject areas associated with the study of robotics include the sciences of Electronics, Engineering, Mechanics and Software. This is one of the most exciting fields to study because of the profound effect it can have on the way that humans live:

The IRobot started as a project that allows robots to clean houses through vacuum cleaning and mopping floors. However, through time and many experiments later, robots have evolved in function. Japan has developed robotic pets that can mimic the gestures of live ones.

The most important use of robots is in doing jobs that are otherwise dangerous to humans. There are robots that repair the damaged nuclear power plants in Japan. Robots can also be used in military engagements to slowly take the place of human soldiers that are placed in the direct line of fire.

Robots can also serve as a complement for complex human skills such as driving, for example. A driver has to keep his focus on the vehicles around him, weather conditions and the type of road he or she is driving in. This is in addition to knowing how to operate the different levers, buttons and switches of a vehicle. Robots can provide excellent support for human drivers by alerting the driver if his or her concentration is already dipping or he or she is already getting sleepy. A robot may even take over full driving from humans in the future.

Robots also bring great support for humans in the field of medicine. In the future, it may be commonplace in developed countries to see robots helping surgeons perform complicated operations by inserting ultra-fine wires and needles into parts of the human body that are difficult to penetrate. This needs a very high level of concentration and precision from a surgeon. Otherwise, the consequences can be fatal. Robots, being machines do not get affected by human factors such as fatigue or emotional stress. Thus, barring technical difficulties they can do this job even more efficiently than humans.

Practical Applications of Quantum Mechanics

For most of our existence, humans have just depended on our intuition to understand and explain how entire things work. Through countless debates and intensive experimentations, humans have gained an understanding of a lot of things related to Science that have bothered our ancestors for centuries. Quantum Mechanics is one of such baffling subject. It is a branch of Physics exploring the very smallest kinds of matter. Below are real-world applications that have been derived from the study of Quantum Mechanics:

The Transistor. They act as an amplifier and a switch for electronic signals, which are functions that are very important to virtually all modern-day electronic equipment such as computers, television sets, radios, cellular phones.
Energy Harvesters. Through using the Quantum Interference principle of Quantum Mechanics, scientists were able to simulate a working molecular thermoelectric material that can convert heat into electricity. This is a device that is very efficient, small, has no moving parts and does not emit pollutants as it works. This can be linked to a car's exhaust system so that it can capture enough electricity to power 200 light bulbs of 100 watts each.
Ultraprecise Clocks. This will make it possible for engineers to calculate trajectories for spacecraft because they will need to know precisely how fast the destination such as a planet or asteroid is moving. As we conceive plans to venture farther into the galaxy, the possibility of making timekeeping errors grow more and more significant. Quantum Mechanics helps ultraprecise clocks by reducing the quantum noise that was so common in its predecessor, the Atomic clock.

Technology and Science Studies (Quantum Theory, Physics, Biology)

This blog covers subjects related to technology and science studies. You will find discussions here about Quantum Theory, Physics and Biology. With this blog, I am hoping that the knowledge of students who are taking up degree programmes with these subjects will be enriched through my discussion of the important theories and concepts of these subjects in this blog. At the same time, I will also post interesting articles about the practical applications of these theories and concepts and how these applications will affect the life of the average person.

The field of science and technology is one of the most dynamic subjects. Discoveries and technological advances are made everyday all over the world that has the power the change the way people live, work and play. I will also provide commentaries on these existing projects as to whether they are viable, mundane or even outright crazy. As for those projects in the planning stage, my discussion will include its feasibility and how its proponents plan to use it.

This blog will help the ordinary layman understand the complexities of scientific terminologies and theories. Technology is the evolution of an idea, and science is one discipline which will allow man to achieve it. The constant discussion of technology is important to humankind so that there is always an opportunity to improve a process or create a device which aids or makes it possible for something or someone to do what previously has not been done. I hope that this blog provides creative inspiration for scientists and technology professionals to produce more and more innovations that would contribute to the betterment of the human race.
